What a pleasure this piece was to watch in March! "Live and Learn" was written by Ian Cragg @iancragg , quite a long piece for the scratch network but the team did a fantastic job in the two hours they had to rehearse!
Director Lewis Bray @fumeactinglab runs a workshop with Neurodivergent Actors so it was fantastic to have his expertise working with our cast Anna Roy @annaroyactor, Josh Fitzsimmons @joshfitzsimmons99 and Sam Prior @samcprior
"Live and Learn" has since gone on to be accepted at the Boss New Plays event at @royalcourtliv on 5th June 👏 so grab yourself a ticket and go watch and support new writing if you can!!

Recently, The Liverpool Scratch Network has taken a little step in the Casting Director direction - getting some fabulous Liverpool actor faces in front of well established and wonderful industry folk like Producer Barrington Paul Robinson @producer02 (The Responder, A Thousand Blows) and Director Chantelle Kayll @chantellekayll (Hollyoaks, Coronation St) for @sass_vip (Follow along to join the hype!!)
It was wonderful to meet and hear about the origins of the SASS Project today from HMU Artist and fabulous all rounder Julie Duffy @julie_duffy_11.11 as well! ❤️ @lizzykdixon you were there on the page and in spirit!!
Since last year, it's been a hope and dream to be in the position where The Liverpool Scratch Network could open doors for it's members, and today it did just that and for so many other extremely talented actors all over the city including actors from @zopeactorsstudio and @madeupprods!
Huge well done to everyone who came along to today's casting 👏 you were outstanding!
And a huge thankyou to @artsbarhopest for hosting us in their fantastic studio space!!!

April last year, Writer Zac McKeown submitted his first piece "What I Wish You Knew" to the Scratch Network and had it performed by @joshfitzsimmons99 and directed by @zarzarmb.
Zac then went on to turn this heartfelt monologue about a son visiting his father's grave with regrets into a powerful short film starring @bobbyschofield93, which we all watched to kick off the One Year Anniversary Celebration in Feb at @royalcourtliv. It's now been submitted to film festivals and had fantastic feedback, huge congrats to Zac for taking that first step last year and getting his work off the page! 👏

"Muddle" by Liam O'Brien was our return piece to celebrate our One Year Anniversary! It had the same weird, hilarious and disturbing effect it had the first time round on the audience!
If you haven't already seen a snippet of Muddle at The Scratch Network or Unity Thetare, keep your eyes peeled for any future iterations! It really is a fantastic piece of work, with brilliant performances!
Actors: Jessica Chisnall @jessica.chisnall, Kathleen Collins @kathleencollinss and Danny Roberts @dvnnyroberts, Muddle played by Muddle the sock.
Originally directed by @kaycoleman_xx and directed on the night by Writer Liam O'Briend!

It's always a delight to have a monologue performance from Campbell Wallace @campbell._wallace at The Scratch Network! Best known from his performances in G'Wed, Midas Man and most recently filming in Saviour, Cam captivated our February audience with his multi character performance of "Wavelengths", a snippet from a self written play exploring the quiet, crackling world of amateur (ham) radio. 👏
Looking forward to seeing the next installment!

"How Far Is Heaven?" by Emma Vaudrey is set in contemporary Liverpool. It's a warm, funny and emotionally sharp family drama about grief, secrets, and the way love can be both a comfort and a complication.
A 10 min snippet of it was brought to life at our Anniversary event in February by the fantastic director Zara Brown @zarzarmb and brilliant cast Emma Dears @emmadears, Jemma Buntin @jemma.buntin, Lucy Fiori @petiteullaloom, Josie Roberts @josiehroberts and Faye McCutcheon @fayemccutcheon1 👏👏
Some of these pics are screen grabs from @gabby.borsos video recording, huge thanks for filming so many events!

"Souvenirs" was a piece written by El Atkinson @elatkinson.creative and directed by Zach Holzberg @hack.ary
This was a reworked piece that El had taken to the Edinburgh Fringe last year. It's a story about self acceptance, internalized ableism and what happens when queer love, autism and women in their early twenties crash into each other!
Cast: El Atkinson, Kamil Ali @kam.j.ali and Eli Yim @noteliyim 👏
